Tagged! 5 Foods to Eat Before You Die!
Laura over at Eden In The Kitchen tagged me to participate in a food bloggers meme, asking me to: create a list of food bloggers top picks for things you've eaten and think that everyone should eat at least once before they die. Wow. Talk about tough...
1. Hot Mulled Apple Cider - For it's sweetness and warmth. It always brings back memories of fall for me (which I've been missing living in the south the last 11 years)
2. A perfectly ripe Mango - The most awesomely sweet thing that nature has to offer.
3. Fresh grilled Corn on the Cob with a little Earth Balance
4. Ripe Strawberries dipped in Vegan Chocolate
5. Stewed Strawberries & Rhubarb with Vegan Sugar

My favorite on your list is #1. When Bob and I were dating, mulling apple cider in the fall was our "thing"--we did it for every gathering and every occasion we could find an excuse for! It's sooo good, hot or chilled. Man, I can't wait until that snap in the air so that we can do it again...

Sooooo with you on the mangoes!! Esp altaulfo mangoes - have you tried those?
Glad to hear you're okay through the storm - must be unnerving to go through the anticipation of what might come with these storms.
p.s. sorry you didn't dig the lentil patties and bundles... bummer after taking the time to make them!! glad the other recipes made up for it though... maybe the pb bars would have done the trick all on their own??! :)

I just love how you and your mom are cooking together all the time.. I think if I spent that much time with my mother I'd want to hide in my closet!
I ordered 4 lbs of organic hemp seeds the other day so I can start making some of these recipes. (I always order in bulk and freeze when I can)
